Tony Gorman's Monday Club with Bobby Singh : "Summer"

Each time we play, something is found, a collective space is arrived upon, and so the journey begins anew even as it continues.

Daryl Pratt's music last week was about control and precision.  Holding on to an idea so tight, until it shines like a diamond.  The whole band was a rhythm section, half of them hit their instruments with sticks, it was all one long tight complex groove.

Tony Gorman's band was about the vibe.  Setting every idea free as soon as it arrives - because if it comes back it's yours... All tone and texture, everybody plays in the bass clef, even the drummer didn't use sticks (although Tony pointed out that he does).
