TJ Eckleberg is not a singer / songwriter so much as a creator of sonic fictions; a musical activist busily playing in the far reaches of electronica, hip-hop, science fiction, spoken word and the blues. He integrates and illuminates, electrifies and re-envisages, emerging in a world beyond the dark introversions of Tricky, the urbanpoetics of Saul Williams, and the lightning beats of Autechre. TJ is the angel in the collapsing architecture singing of hope amid abandonment; the devil in the details of self destruction - searching out the flaws and muttering spells to bring the house tumbling down around the listener’s ears.
